Summary[]

TBA.

Trivia[]

  • This episode marks the first appearance of Alexander Hamilton.
  • Historical Inaccuracy: When Edward Jenner asks Abigail Adams about her and her children with regard to any infection of smallpox, Adams responds that "Charles is quite ill, but nothing like Sarah." This episode takes places in December 1776, but Adams and her four children were all inoculated in July 1776, meaning there should be no chance that Charles would be infected with smallpox again.
  • During the final scene of the episode, as Washington's troops are being inoculated from smallpox, James ponders to Hamilton, "Can you imagine a world without smallpox?" Hamilton responds with "I'm afraid my imagination is not quite so vivid." Smallpox would end up being the first of two infectious diseases to be eradicated (the last case being in 1977, and the eradication certified in 1979), the second being rinderpest in 2011.
